Claudia Kawalec-Eggen is the proud owner & master groomer at Shear Paradise Pet Salon. Claudia graduated from Arlington Heights Dog Grooming Academy in 2002. She keeps up to date on the latest styles and patterns to offer the best grooming for your pets because she continues to attend seminars and conferences. Prior to opening Shear Paradise, she worked for various grooming salons along the North Shore. Claudia mastered her scissoring skills and grooming techniques by learning from some of the best groomers in the U.S. Not only is she an outstanding groomer, she's animal CPR certified.
Claudia has been a member of MidWest Dachshund Rescue since 1998. With her aid, she has helped many homeless dachshunds find loving, forever homes. Claudia has also helped with many charitable fundraising events for animal shelters and other local non-profit breed rescue groups in Lake County including an annual donation drive called "For Paws Sake". She can be found supporting Save-A-Pet at their various adoption events and grooming adoptable pets from local rescue organizations.
You can find a wide array of rescue brochures and contact information, along with posters of adoptable pets hanging at Shear Paradise.
With fourteen years experience in dog grooming and prior experience as a veterinarian technician she is highly knowledgeable of all dog breeds and behaviors. Claudia has a soft spot for "special needs" pets and will do everything in her means to make special accommodations for them. With her patience, love and understanding Claudia works with difficult pets and never uses tranquilizers or restraint methods. Your pet's health and well being are her number one concern.
She believes that every dog with the proper environment and time and patience can have an enjoyable experience with grooming. Claudia says, "I strive to make you and especially your pets grooming experience in my shop their best! I treat every dog and cat, and as if they were my own!"
